About Karen

Karen completed the French Juris Doctor program at the University of Ottawa and graduated in June 2024. She also completed a master’s degree in political science from the same institution, writing a master’s thesis that critically examined the rise of the far-right in Spain. She speaks English and French fluently.

Karen’s personal journey as an immigrant, combined with her experiences living in multiple countries, has led her to develop an interest in immigration and refugee law.

In her free time, Karen enjoys rock climbing, drawing, reading and taking care of her collection of cacti.
