About Jeffrey

Jeffrey is currently working as an Articling Student at Gerami Law PC, having joined the firm in September 2026. Jeff holds a Combined Honours BA in Political Science and Legal Studies from Carleton University with specializations in International Relations, Human Rights, and Transnational Law. Jeff also holds an MA in Legal Studies from Carleton University and a JD from the University of Ottawa.

Jeff has long held a passion for migrant rights and refugee protection, and to help all who have ever felt like an outsider, informed from their experience as a genderfluid individual. In the past, Jeff served as co-chair of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers uOttawa Student Chapter, worked for Capital Rainbow Refuge as their Sponsorship Coordinator, and worked for the University of Ottawa Refugee Hub as a research assistant.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys living an active outdoor lifestyle, listening to live music, spending time with friends, and learning new skills.
